Why do we like this?
Just as I thought I was suffering from an early onset of seasonal affective disorder, my prayers have been answered. The Glaswegian-based sound system Mungo's Hi Fi have collaborated with MC Brother Culture, an original rasta MC from 1982 (his words), to produce "Changes."
As explained by the BBC, the key to Mungo's Hi Fi's music is the influence of "late-80s dancehall." As such, "Changes" does what it says on the tin. Its rhythm is so infectious it will put you in the mood to listen to reggae all day long. The bass line, equally appetizing needs some volume. Don't be shy.
