Why do we like this?
I'm getting a little tired of the in-your-face brand of dubstep. I've heard enough mach-chainsaw sounds that it no longer manages to have the same effect on me anymore.
GoldRush brings a lot more emotion to the table, claiming to create "music that inspires Romanticism through dubstep influenced composition." This L.A.-based producer typically releases original material, but "Come What May" is a remix for a track by rising electronic vocalist Mimi Page. Her ethereal voice blends well with GoldRush's romantic vibe, carrying us through the peaks and troughs of this truly enchanting piece.
Both artists are performing at The Do Lab's Lightning In A Bottle festival this Memorial Day weekend. I'm pretty jealous of everyone that has the chance to go to the festival -- it should be quite a unique experience.
