We first introduced you to Benton in September, detailing how he was behind the emergence of a new strain of house music, which was heavily indebted to the breaks and energy of jungle -- "130 jungle," as we called it.
He's not the only one on the act. As well as Tessela and Special Request, Mella Dee is also getting in on the act. His latest track "Heaven" sees him looking to jungle and hardcore for influences. It was premiered by Thump, who described it as:
"... a thick slab of euphoric hardcore revivalism, a deep dancefloor destroyer. This is the sound of waltzers on the blink, abandoned fairgrounds where the screams from white knuckle rides still linger in the air."
Digital Soundboy will release "Heaven" as part of Mella Dee's Rhythm Nation beat tape on January 19, 2015. In the meantime, keep up with Mella Dee on Facebook or Twitter.
