Another Madlib invasion!
"The Buzz" is part of a 12" eponymous EP that will be released on MED's Bang Ya Head label, a sequel of sorts to The Burgundy EP that dropped earlier this year. This is damn near the underground equivalent of a DJ Khaled record!
Hometown mic heroes MED and Blu take MC duties over Madlib's sweet string loops, and pop sweetheart Mayer's throwback act laces the chorus. Though the breakdown at the end is classic minimal, soulful Madlib, overall the song ends up being one of the most accessible things the Beat Konducta has ever produced.
The flip-side of the record is set to feature another vocal addition to the MED and Blu tag team, Dam-Funk. A powerful combination of artists on a record, make sure to pre-order yours so you don't have to be throwing 'bows with some nerd in a Quas shirt in the 'new arrival' section at Amoeba come end of November.
