Why do we like this?
It may be slightly over simplistic to paint Evian Christ as a British Clams Casino, but the shared turf is certainly there - and they even look a bit like one another.
Despite the considerable acclaim Evian Christ has been receiving, very little of his music was as good as Clams. However, with his remix of Marina & The Diamonds "Primadonna," that has changed.
Like Clams, on this track there is something for the listener to hold onto in the midst of the swirling soundscapes; in this instance Marina's repeated cry that she "wants to be adored," which is looped to hypnotic affect over the top of the usual cut up vocals and teetering hi-hats.
