Why do we like this?
Lykke Li's getting a lot of attention these days given the impending release of her new album I Never Learn (due early May). But thanks to Marika Hackman, we've got a bit of a throwback.
"I Follow Rivers" was released more than three years ago as part of Lykke Li's second studio album Wounded Rhymes. To date, it has spawned countless remixes and covers, including contributions by the likes of Tyler, The Creator, The Magician, Dave Sitek and Band Of Skulls. Marika's rendition might just be one of my favorites.
The cover comes as Marika prepares to release her Deaf Heat EP on April 14th via Dirty Hit Records. This will be her third EP to date, which naturally means an album's on the way.
