Low Leaf has been slowly and steadily carving out a place for herself. Combining jazz, hip-hop, tribal, and chamber music, her work is intensely intentional and ambitious. Her new album, AKASHAALAY, is dedicated to the "bloody history and bright future" of Low Leaf's roots, the islands of the Phillipines:
