Why do we like this?
Two unstoppable forces coming out of the U.K. right now are Brighton-based label/collective Donky Pitch and Aberdeen-based producer Lockah. They've teamed up for Donky Pitch's first release of 2013. Before I get into Lockah's EP, I want to quickly praise this mix Donky Pitch recently dropped. So, so good.
Only Built 4 Neon Nites is also awesome. It features five tracks that go together so well that I am hyping "Platinum Blonde" today mainly because I want to make as many people as possible aware of the badass dance party waiting inside Lockah's full EP. The Scottish producer covers a lot of ground, including juke and pop. Whatever you want to label it, "Platinum Blonde" sure is a favorite around my house right now.
