A specter is more or less a ghost. It’s defined as something dangerous that most people would be afraid of encountering. And as the title “Specters” implies, this haunting and mysterious tune feels similar to a paranormal sighting.
You never know what Lisel will throw at the listener next on this eerie song. There's some sort of oddity waiting behind every corner or note. Like the parts towards the end of the song that sound like water trickling out of a small stream or faucet.
Overall, the track is like a complex machine with many moving parts, all working at the same time.
Eliza Bagg is the one woman show recording and producing all her own stuff. Considering she only released her debut album last year, she’s still an artist on the rise. Although she’s only put out a handful of songs this year, “Specters” is her best.
