Why do we like this?

Baltimore-based duo Life on Planets is certainly on a planet all their own. They're debut album A Public Affair is a refreshing combination of acoustic jams and electronic-ness.

While that combination isn't entirely unique, the way Life on Planets pulls is off is charmingly more Seu Jorge with a beat, rather than Bon Iver in remix form. And while I can't say I care for the entire release (brought to us by NY label Wolf + Lamb), this track, "Fork In The Path," is interesting enough that I keep replaying it to figure out just what makes me want to keep replaying it. 

Maybe I don't need to over analyze it. "Fork In The Path" is rough around the edges, simple and pleasant. I think I'll leave it at that and let you enjoy it for your own reasons.
