Having recently come off the back of two
killer singles and support slots with the likes of Bonobo and Architecture In Helsinki, Banoffee (real name Martha Brown) has proven herself to be one of the most important people to watch out for in 2014.
For her latest effort, she strips down and re-invents Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love," turning it from a pop ballad into three and a half minutes of woozy, electronic bliss. The glitchy beats, warped vocal layering, and lo-fi synths showcase a different side to Banoffee's otherwise clean, slick sound, yet perfectly replicate the quirky, minimal feel of her previous work.
Banoffee's debut EP is set to be unleashed in the first half of 2014, and judging by her releases so far you won't want to miss it.
