I've always enjoyed the chilled soundscapes that Sydney duo Left has become known for over the last year and a half, and it's been great to watch grow.
The guys are scheduled to release their debut album in the new year (after their well received EP of 2013), and have just dropped their latest single, "Freedom."
Their tracks, while all smooth and dreamy, have begun to shy away from the more heavy-hitting undertones we've heard in the past. While it's an ever-so-slight change for the band, "Freedom" is the most obvious shift in this direction -- and the result is a special one. There's more focus on Sarah Corry's sultry vocals and Jono Graham's hovering guitar work, the perfect dream-pop recipe.
Left's debut album Sirens is due out on February 6, 2015 via Create/Control.
