Whilst looking through the vast array of very talented, hype-worthy artists playing Brighton's The Great Escape Festival this weekend, I stumbled upon Kyan.
Branded by many online as the British answer to the likes of Frank Ocean or Miguel, Kyan -- although very early on in his musical career (one EP down) -- certainly has the components and raw talent to live-up to those expectations one day.
When looking for proof, all you need to do is turn to "Shuttle," one of five incredible tracks featured on his debut EP, The Purple Experiment, which was released back in March. Incredibly smooth, "Shuttle" has a lovely bubbling electronic under-current, that softly carries Kyan's tremendously powerful and emotionally charged vocals, as they ascend sky-high in his stunningly imaginative and engaging sonic space shuttle.
