Why do we like this?
Minimal techno generally describes the music from artists like Roman Flugel and John Roberts -- long tracks, which reward the patient listener.
Recently, however, German duo Kollektiv Turmstrasse have also fallen into this genre; but their track "Schwindelig" is a short-burst of not quite pure energy, but certainly not icy minimalism either.
On their SoundCloud page, they say they make music "for the soul and the dancefloor," and I certainly can't argue with that.
