Why do we like this?

Folks, I have to say it: Klangkarussell's upcoming release Netzwerk is going to be one of the best of the year. And that's somewhat surprising, given their controversial history.

The Austrian burst onto the scene with an absolutely amazing track titled "Sonnentanz." However, it wasn't long until some prudent listeners noticed that practically all of the components that made up the song were taken from a sampler jazz album. *Gasp*

With that context, Klangkarussell no doubt have something to prove on this album release. And from the ~8 or so tracks I've heard, they're totally spot on. This could indeed be one of 2014's best albums.
