It was a chance discovery that brought me to Kidnap Kid's The Great Confusion, which then led me to the Alphaville EP, which is exactly when and where my love affair with future garage started.
Being that he was my first love, it's no wonder why Kidnap Kid's influence has a far reaching hold on me. He hasn't stormed the scene like Disclosure, nor been on everyone's lips like Bondax, but his music has stealthy received top recognition all the same. From Annie Mac to Diplo, to iTunes naming "Vehl" 2012's best electronic track, he's not short on big name support. With an army of amazing remixes filtering around the Shuffle, it's only a matter of time before Kidnap Kid wows us again in 2013.
But speaking of being wowed, "Lazarus Taxon" was the track that put me over the edge, the crème de la crème so to speak, so I'm amazed I neglected to blog about it. Happy to bring it back in to the mix, here it is now-- let us revel in the awesomeness.
