Why do we like this?
How glad I am to be writing up a new house artist, and a female one at that. Anyone who remotely follows the electronic music scene knows that the ladies are not well represented on the artist side of life. This producer is a not actually a fresh face to the scene as she's been DJing for years, but is coming full force with her second single "Out My Mind."
There's a play of nostalgia in this remix with its vocal samples and spaced-out synths. Kayper's single is a almost like Jonas Rathsman and Disclosure's love child... one can wish, right? "Out My Mind" capitalizes on strong bass lines and classic house tones to complete a perfectly produced track. It's upbeat, replicating the euphoria we are all searching for in a neat little danceable house track package.
