This band just may have the most awkward and irritating name to use in everyday context, but their sound is surely distinct enough to set them apart from others. Although not much is known about this enigmatic and mysterious artist/band/collective, their SoundCloud suggests that he/she/they originated from "The Isle of Man," whatever that means
.
Limited tracks and personal information makes this unique project something worth discussing. When listening to their songs, my ears swerve into this tropical world of pop with a strong impression that I could be hearing an echo of Karin Dreijer Andersson (The Knife/Fever Ray). The half-screamed, strained vocals on top of pounding and hypnotic beats are compelling and static at the same time.
The band bio is in Swedish, so it is possible that this could very well be Andersson herself jumping into a unique audio pool of sounds and wanting to fuck with everyone listening. Whatever the situation may be, I'm intrigued and ready for more!
