Why do we like this?

I get a lot of pitches every day, the majority of which find themselves falling squarely in some sort of electronic / remix world.

Fortunately, the occasional gem lands in my lap, and in this case Swedish artist Jennie Abrahamson was able to capture my attention with the first single off her upcoming LP. The track, titled "The War," reminds me a lot of work by European contemporary Emiliana Torrini.

Comparisons aside, however, you'll note this song stands out as a unique work that in many ways embodies a sound reflective of its own title.
