A new track from Jamie xx? I'm excited already. Oh, it features Fantastic Mr Fox? Even better!
"Miss You" is unmistakably the work of Jamie xx, sounding quite similar to "Far Nearer," and actually sounds a lot like The xx too (surprise, surprise). With the similarity in style between the two artists involved, it's difficult to tell what's FMF's and what's not, but I'd say the witch-house style vocals are probably something to do with him, as are the drums.
This two minutes feel like a taste of something exciting to come. Could the exciting prospect of a solo Jamie xx album (with all-star guests, of course!) be more than a distant possibility? We sure hope so!
