Why do we like this?
World-renowned super DJ Z-Trip dropped this choon a while back, and seeing as how I like to kick it old school every now and again, what's better than an oldie that everyone can get groovy to? This classic hit by the Jackson 5 is not one that goes unrecognized in any way, shape or form and now that it's been flipped and equipped with some tantalizing beats, we have a genre-bending tune that will shake up the Motown-loving world.
An unexpected element in this version is the standout vocals that sound much stronger than they did in the original. Not everything works, but what does work, really, really works. They are no longer simply a novelty act of precocious youngsters, and those who loved the Motown sound and wondered what some of the songs would sound like if the beats were more gritty and interesting will love what happens on this version of "I Want You Back."
