J Warner caught the attention of Indie Shuffle writers in recent months as he worked towards releasing his debut EP. I'm happy to report back that his EP Est. 1990 is now out, and I'm featuring a new track from it today.
"Petals Fall" shows off J Warner's best bits -- his songwriting ability and his soul-filled voice. His voice is notable for its smooth and velvety quality, and is perfectly suited to a blending of soul with R&B.
I especially like that the lyrics in this track are built around the idea that what's beautiful and meant to drop on the ground can also soar before it gets there. It's a nice thought amongst spring-time weather for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere right now.
Est. 1990 is an eight-track EP from J Warner that's out now and streaming in full via SoundCloud. You can also add this track to your spring collection via a freebie SoundCloud download.
