J Dilla Walkinonit (Phaseone Remix)

Donuts by J Dilla is a masterpiece, and "Walkinonit" is one of the best tracks on it. Dilla is up there with the greats -- the artists who you aren't meant to remix because they can't be improved on.

But that hasn't stopped Phaseone. He's taken on Burial's "Archangel," and he did a good job of it. If anyone was going to remix "Walkinonit," this is the guy for the job.

And it's fair to say the remix is pretty awesome. I wouldn't necessarily say it's an improvement on the original, but it's certainly equal. This slowed down version, with its piano added in, certainly wins in the chillout stakes.

So kick back to this one, and take a minute and a half to just listen to this. Drop everything else. It's worth it.
