The D.C. turned L.A. artist Imad Royal showcases a new side of himself in his new tune “Bad 4 U.” I’ve been happy to see this artist slowly stepping out of the electronic sound with recent releases. Instead, he’s favored dipping his toe into other genres, while developing a firm foundation in the pop taste.
On “Bad 4 U” he creates a sweet sound by seamlessly making doo-wop modern. The song showcases layers pop and R&B elements, throwing hip-hop and electronic in between the cracks to create a sound that is no-doubt repeat worthy.
Imad Royal has continued to evolve over the past year or two, branching out from solely creating remixes to cultivating his own, original hybrid flavor of music.
