Melbourne trio
I'lls put out one of my absolute favorite releases of 2013, and a number of their tracks have been featured on Indie Shuffle earlier this year. Their EP
A Warm Reception was a thing of beauty, and shortly, it'll be receiving a bit of a facelift with a bundle of remixes.
First up is noted production duo
Naysayer & Gilsun, who have given their interpretation of closing track "Mine's Here or My End's Here or Nineteen" (a mouthful I know) Indie Shuffle is on premiere duties for this one!
While the original is as mellow and haunting as they come, fellow Melbournites Naysayer & Gilsun's version is much more upbeat. Vocally scarce (Simon Lam's wistful tones appear only as samples), the remix has a throbbing, hypnotic feel to it that electronic pioneers Four Tet and Shigeto would be proud of. Download it for free
here.
Keep an eye out for further remixes (from Rat & Co, Tincture, Wabz and Ktsche) of tracks from
A Warm Reception on their label Yes Please's
Bandcamp.
