Why do we like this?
Here's a woozy groove named after the capital of Mozambique off Elevated, the new album from Düsseldorf's IAMNOBODI. Quite a cheerful track, with a quickly rising beat. As Soulection explained, IAMNOBODI's intention was "to shed light on inspiration to create no matter what sort of living environment you're immersed in." Music that uplifts -- we're into that.
IAMNOBODI's sound slides the spectrum of the beat scene, from deep vibes like Bel Air (don't miss the solid outro) to more soulful R&B like Amel Larrieux's For Real remix. Jeff over at Earmilk probably explained the feeling of listening to his music best:
Elevated dropped on October 1. You can listen to the full album on Bandcamp. The label behind the album, Soulection, has been carrying the flaming torch for all things neo-soul. Keep on top of them via their website.

"Imagine yourself walking into a German nightclub"”you're wearing a leather jacket with too many zippers, and you're the most attractive person, ever. The bartender says something in German, snaps his fingers, and slides you a drink. This ... is playing when you walk in."
