Why do we like this?
HAERTS made a serious statement when they came out with "Wings" in October of 2012. I found myself instantly smitten by the band, and convinced myself that they were the next big thing.
Flash forward 18 months, and it doesn't seem they've done as well as I'd expected. That's not necessarily because the music is lacking -- but there's just something in subsequent releases that hasn't struck the same chord.
"Call My Name" is a good example of that. It was released more than two days ago, and we aren't getting around to covering it until today. Why? It's not that it's a bad song. Rather, it's just that it seems to lack a certain "wow" factor.
Don't get me wrong. I like "Call My Name." I just probably won't be rushing to show it to friends the same way that I was with "Wings."
