Raise your hand if you're into intensely rhythmic rock. Anyone? Okay, glad you're here, because Brooklyn-based Grandfather has been hard at work, crafting a heavy, entrancing album,
In Human Form, that will be released in August. Until then, the quartet will be rolling out singles over the next several weeks, starting with today's premiere of "Metamorphosis."
Grandfather composed all the tracks that appear on
In Human Form, including "Metamorphosis," while living together in a converted industrial building in New York. The band recorded with producer/musician Alex Newport, who's worked with high-profile acts like The Mars Volta. The finished product is dark, fast-paced, and at times explosive. Don't let the name Grandfather fool you. This music is not fucking around.
