The first day of Governors Ball looked like a washout, but if you were on ground zero, you would've contracted the infectious joy, commitment, and love for music emitted from crowds and artists. The rain gods sustained a wrath of wind and muddied travels from stage to stage, but the spirits of patrons came together, ignited the elements, and carried the festival until it was cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions.
One thing is for sure, music knows no age, race or gender, so it was a magnificent sight to see fans of music and good vibes hunkering down in the rain, trudging through the fields of mud to witness their favorite artists or bands perform. Music is love and love is music.
