Glassses Malone Thuggin' (Ft. Kendrick Lamar)

I'll admit I'm not overly familiar with Glasses Malone, but when it was announced Kendrick Lamar would be joining him on a track from his upcoming Glasshouse 2 project, my interest was piqued. 

Kicking things off with an excerpt of 2Pac from a 1994 interview, "Thuggin'" is surprisingly mellow in a musical sense, with the two dropping lyrics over delicate keys and snapping snares. 

Malone takes the first two verses, doing an admirable job as he lets everyone know that real thugs don't wear Versace, but as you'd expect, it's Lamar who really shines. Weaving in references to 2Pac, the media's portrayal of him, and Orion's Belt, Lamar continues to demonstrate why he is the best going around.
