Why do we like this?
Here’s an amazing cover for Record Store Day done by Austin band Spanish Gold. It’s a revitalized version of the Ghetto Brother’s “There Is Something In My Heart,” an old Latin soul tune from the early 70s.
These guys bring so much soul into their newer music, so it’s nice to hear an homage to some of their influences. They do an incredible job with the music as well; right at the 1:15 minute mark there is an amazing change-up to the chord structure of the song that really lifts it off.
Spanish Gold reportedly have a full-length record coming out sometime in the near future. I can’t wait to hear a taste of it!
