Holy shit, Steve Aoki is 35 today (!!!!!) so let's take this Friday to pay homage to this spectacular musical human. Growing up in California, Aoki has had nothing but a incredible life. Not only did his father found the popular Benihana restauant chain - so I assume he will never go hungry - he's been all up in every aspect of the music world through his own creations as well as a label owner.
Dim Mak Records was founded in 1996 and has been home to some amazing acts throughout the years. Albums have been released from artists all across the spectrum including (but obvi not limited to) MSTRKRFT, Bloc Party, The Kills, Dada Life, Gossip, The Bloody Beetroots, Booka Shade, Pretty Girls Make Graves, and a WHOLE lot more. Like, binders full of artists more.
