FredFades & Ivan Ave, are a duo of rapper/producers from Oslo,Norway. who often perform with a collective of rappers known as Mutual Intentions. These guys together to put out jazzy beats and hip-hop tracks which are reminiscent of the early days of Brooklyn-based underground hip-hop.
The remix of their track "Fruitful" has all of the grit and lo-fi hooks of an older Talib Kweli track yet, their remix boasts changes-ups as abrupt as a new driver learning a stick shift. That's not to say they're too sudden, but it does feel like three tracks rolled into one here.
If you're into a true-to-form underground hip-hop artist, Fredfades & Ivan Ave need to be on your radar. These dudes have churned out track after track of fresh, head nodding melodies with insightful lyrics.
