Why do we like this?

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting a remix of Foals' "Red Socks Pugie" to pop up in my SoundCloud feed today. Nor was I expecting the manner in which it was done...

You'll probably recognize the original version of this song off Foals' 2008 album Antidotes, one of the best indie rock releases of that decade (in my opinion). In its pure form, the track has an upbeat, droning sound that screams "emotion."

Henrik Schwarz's version, however, is refreshingly different. In a Balkan folk way. Seriously -- I could never have anticipated the mellow brass instrumentation going as well with this song as they do.
