In order to forgive, we must evolve. In order to evolve, we must progress. Progression is a positive thing. This ten-thousandth remix of Flume's "Never Be Like You" by Nikö Blank is a progression, musically, if music were to be an actual individual.
And maybe music is an individual; a higher being. One that we are all somehow a part of without even knowing it. Something we contribute to as a part of sound waves from some galactic instrument we are too tiny to see. Yes, I do believe we are that small, and that music is that big.
This remix is more like a complete rework. I would call it a cover because of Marco Foster's voice, but what Niko Blank did with the music changes that and makes it impossible for me to do so. He took an already instant classic and flipped it on everyone, in order to provide a completely different vantage point.
Sure, maybe genders don't matter when it comes to music, but tones do, and this tone creates just one more appeal to the song that it didn't already have.
Arguably, the best remix of this song, yet.
