After thrilling us all with his debut single "Botanical Animal," tropical-enthusiast Flamingo Jones is back with a second release. Known to his friends and family as Melbourne resident Nicholas Bond, his musical project is as upbeat and fun as they come, the perfect addition to your spring or summer playlist.
"Skinny D.I.P." is another slice of fun, with Bond backing up his earlier release with a similarly poppy number. The calypso-based instrumentation is still there, and there's a fantastic graininess to his recording which gives it even more of a beachy vibe. With so much serious, contemplative music being produced, Flamingo Jones' carefree take on the pop genre should be applauded.
Expect to hear more over the coming months from this talented artist, with a debut EP scheduled for release later in the year.
