Espa has returned with yet another progressive and beautiful electro-soul track titled "Four Walls."
The gentle, aqueous soundscape is soft and soothing, anchored by an easygoing rhythm and an airy, feathery melody. The dreamy track floats by, in a washed-over haze of breathy vocal loops, sparkly synths, and shuffling percussion.
It shows a very different side of Espa to the strong '90s R&B tracks we posted last year. Considering how far removed this is from tracks like "Your Ghost," and more recently, the sex-filled "Rodney" and the ambient trip-pop of "Pray For Me," I'm curious about what the next move will be for the UK artist. It certainly shows the kind of diversity that makes new artists so much more interesting -- a full artillery of sounds and styles, each as capable as the last.
The track features on Espa's recently released EP LG60, which you can stream here.
