The original version of Australian artist Emma Louise's track came out in November and is still one of, if not my favorite down tempo electronic tracks of the past few months. I used about a million words to describe it: stunning, heartbreaking, delicate, reflective... all in all, it blew me away.
Now, none other than Little Dragon have reworked this piece of art, and I love it about as much as I did the original. The remix features a fuller atmosphere and a bigger rhythm, and while it's not as melodically sombre, that intimate sentimentality is not lost on the synths and percussive beats.
As anyone who has read my reviews over the past eighteen or so months knows, remixes and I only sit well when they're really good. And luckily, this one's so good that it's your chilled out Sunday song of the day.
