Why do we like this?
"Sugar" is the latest indie rock single from Editors' fourth album, The Weight Of Your Love. Much like the album, this one's a grower, with the band's once post-punk sound evolving into stadium-esque indie rock. There's definitely an anthemic quality to "Sugar," and frontman Tom Smith's glorious baritone is used to good effect.
While old fans (myself included) hope for a return to their earlier sound, "Sugar" is a great example of just what Editors can do moving forward.
Also, props to whoever has designed all the artwork for The Weight Of Your Love and the corresponding singles. Brilliant!
