Why do we like this?

Here's an excellent find for all you experimental indie fans. It's sort of a cross between lo-fi rock and abstract ambient, a mixture of found sounds and tribal instrumentation. I'm really impressed with the construction of the entire EP, which was released in 2013 by Los Angeles friends John Paul Jones and Dustin Lynn.

This track "Domino" is off their BIS011 release from RVNG Intl. It's a sort of surfer dude alternative, downtempo punctured by wicked guitar licks. I love how they perfectly fit their self-described "psycho-tropical" bill.

Don't miss this EP, which in my opinoin is perhaps one of the best  listens in this soundspace since Animal Collective dropped Sung Tungs. The 12" is sold out, but you can still enjoy the entire thing on their Bandcamp.
