Sounds like:
Owiny Sigoma Band,
Buraka Som Sistema,
Melé
Why do we like this?
I always enjoy some African fusion in my electronic music -- Owiny Sigoma Band's "Nyiduonge Drums" is a recent favorite.
Brooklyn producer Dubbel Dutch carries on that theme with his track "Dead Pool." Adding an electronic twist to the traditional Angolan Kuduro style, "Dead Pool" is a tropical dance floor banger.
It's not the first time the American producer has experimented. We've heard the weirder edge of dubstep along with bassline-garage hybrids from him before. Like those tracks, he's turned his hand to this new sound with aplomb on "Dead Pool."
This carnival-ready song was released on the Hard Ass Compilation, Vol. IV. You can get a copy here.
