Why do we like this?

It's been quite a while since I first stumbled upon Diamond Thug (October of 2014, to be precise). The Cape Town-based band have been busy at it since then, though it wasn't until "Mind's Eye" landed in my SubmitHub queue that they were able to convince me to come back for more.

There's something about this track that captures an oldschool, Mazzy Star-esque vibe, all-the-while maintaining a fresh and interesting take. That combination ain't easy to put a finger on, but in this case it just seems to work out quite nicely.
