Next week,
Decibel Festival is once again invading the heart of Seattle. Electronic music, media, and visual arts will be showcased for five blissful days at various venues ranging from The Paramount, Fred Wildlife Refuge, The Crocodile, Neumos, Re-Bar, and The Woods.
DB started eight years ago and has celebrated the likes of Modeselektor, FlyLo, Simian Mobile Disco, Claude Von Stroke, Trentemoller, Diplo, Ellen Allien, Gui Boratto, Apparat, and hundreds more. For electronic music enthusiasts, it doesn't get any better than this. In addition to the artists themselves, many conferences will be held Wednesday-Friday, touching on timely music topics pertinent to fans, artists, and labels.
This year's headliners, including Amon Tobin, Moby (DJ set), Designer Drugs, Bonobo, and Motor City Drum Ensemble will surely provide some world class beats over the course of the festival... but, what about all those tiny print artists? No worries. Below are some recommendations. Keep in mind that some of the artists featured are the ones providing awesome remixes to big-name acts.
