Why do we like this?

In late August, I shared Deaf Bungalows' Yard Sessions, Vol. 1 mixtape with you, and now I'm here with a second mixtape, one that I think matches his high standards.

Instead of the relaxed, summery vibe heard on Vol. I, the tracks on Nighttiming reflect a move toward the dark days of autumn; the tracklist is comprised what DB calls "night music."

Once again, this a free download over on the Deaf Bungalows Tumblr, so I highly suggest you head over there immediately!

"Hot Like Fire," the song I'm featuring today, is my favorite from the mixtape -- it's a startling cover of Aaliyah, by The xx.
