I love what I get to do on Indie Shuffle: listen to brand spanking new music and then share it with all you wonderful people.
With that in mind, let’s focus on new music out of Boston today from Indie Shuffle newbies Dayspired. Made up of Matthew Bejtlich and Neil Desai. They met in high school on a tennis court and quickly realized they shared a passion for combining electronic music and visuals.
This track "Last Word" comes from their new and second EP called All White On Clay. It’s a textured, synth-filled, and percussion-heavy affair, and a delight if you're fan of electronica that bends more towards the layered and interesting.
Staying true to their work as visual artists, the music video for this track is a worthy visual accompaniment. Matt and Neil seem to end up with the last word here – their video offers up a black and white urban kaleidoscope of movement, which is not unlike the track itself.
