If you’re as big a Daughter fan as I am, you’ll be just as excited to know that this year marks the release of their second album, Not To Disappear.
Needless to say, the songs on the album are absolutely captivating, and completely emotion-shattering. However, with this album, the band has upped the instrumentals a bit, making the sound less acoustic, and somewhat heavier on the soul.
“How” starts off slow and almost silent, until it hits the 14-second mark, and that’s when you know you’re in for a roller coaster of sound (and feeling).
As per usual, Daughter’s lyrics are the kind of lyrics that make you think “they get it; they get exactly what I’m going through.” With lyrics as raw and intense as, “How long must I wait for you?/ Undone in the evening,/ How long must I wait for you?/ To become what I need,” you can't help but be brought to tears.
