Credit to Paris-based producer Cookie Monster Galaxy for whipping up an 8-bit instrumental that's not a parody unto itself. The man behind the moniker, Samir Belaidi, is a vibrant part of the post-Nujabes beat scene, and his output as Cookie Monster Galaxy is commendable.

"Purple Night" is a new-school instrumental baked with a lot of love for the past. It's the spirit of nostalgia and Belaidi's deft touch that elevate cuts like "Purple Night" to a higher place.
