Why do we like this?

Bradey Mchargue, better known in SoundCloud circles as Cogitavi, is an artist seemingly set on exploring electronica's more rhythmic soundscapes.

Cogitavi recently released a new album, Raw Memories, available for $1 (or more) on Bandcamp. As I told Bradey, I really like "Scare You Away" as an introductory track to the Cogitavi realm. It's emotional, romantic, rooted in electro-pop, hip-hop, and R&B. More importantly to me, it's paradoxical in its displays of strength and fragility.

As "Scare You Away" proves, complexity can be quite sexy.
