Why do we like this?
CLMD is a house production duo from Norway made up of Carl Louis and Martin Danielle. They have been brewing up a storm lately, opening up for Madonna during her MDMA tour, as well as getting support from the likes of Steve Angello and Pete Tong.
This track, "Black Eyes & Blue," has great piano chord progressions and a faded, bouncy drop that's reminiscent of a blend between Neon Indian and Miike Snow. As the opening track for the Ultra Music Festival "after-movie," they have set the bar pretty high for what's to come.
Surpassing expectations will be easy, considering this track has summertime fun written all over it. It's perfect for dancing the night away on the beaches of Ibiza or off the coast of Melbourne. It's pretty good if you're stuck in your cubicle at work all day, too.
