Why do we like this?
I'm obsessed with this sensual slowcore song from 2007, chanted by Canadian vocalist Chinawoman.
Chinawoman is Michelle Gurevich, Berlin-based experimental artist by way of Toronto. Her music's been described as something between cold wave and lo-fi pop, and I think it's quite melancholic in nature. A hit in places like Eastern Europe, she now makes moody music videos and sings sultry shows in places like St. Petersburg full time. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
If you enjoyed this and are hungry for more, check out her newst album, released this February, called "Let's Part in Style." Vice did a recent premiere of her latest music video, "A Woman Is Still A Woman."
